Sadia Pasha Kamran is a thinker, a theorist and a practitioner of art. Her focus is on developing appropriate pedagogies for art and design studies in South Asian cultures. The processes of production and transmission of knowledge and related scholarship in art and crafts of South Asia have peculiar features that need to be dealt in a unique way. She examines the indigenous arts as they transform from traditional to modern in contemporary practices, that reflects the socio-political, religious, economic and diplomatic factors.
