OMAR KASMANI
Omar Kasmani is a post-doctoral Research Fellow in Social and Cultural Anthropology at the Collaborative Research Center Affective Societies at Freie Universität, Berlin. His work pursues ideas of be/longing, queer futurities, and the affects of intimacy in the interstices of religion and sexuality. He teaches queer theory and religion in South Asia and has co-edited the volume Muslim Matter (Revolver Publishing, 2016). His writings on Sehwan include “Audible Specters” (2017, History of Emotions: Insights into Research) and “Grounds of Becoming” (2017, Culture and Religion: An Interdisciplinary Journal).
