Nahid Raza is no stranger to the world of art and in 2007 she was awarded the prestigious Pride of Performance award by the Pakistani government. She had her first solo show at the Goethe Institute in Karachi in 1970 and since then her work has been exhibited everywhere from the Ishikawa Museum in Japan to the WD-IV Gallery in America. Raza has been teaching art since the 1970s and in 1992 she started her own art school, Studio Art. Her artistic contributions and achievements have been recognised in several publications including Image and Identity by Dr. Akber Naqvi, Contemporary Art of Pakistan by Marsala Nelson and Pioneering Perspective by Niilofur Farrukh.
