“I’ve spent every morning for the past 14 days looking out of my window. I stare at the lights open and close in the right most apartment building opposite mine. I know their routines now. I see the same guards and trucks come and go every 6 am. I’ve gotten to know their routine even though they don’t know mine. I have come to meet the 2 men who always walk by at 7.15. I know that there are atleast 4 eagles present at all times. My brother said he named them. I see the shadows created by my fairy lights. I see dust accumulating in corners of my house which my mom can’t teach or see yet. I see silence and see calm. I see the stillness of the sea. I see distant lights wishing they could be the moon. And I see the look growing by the night. Today’s moon was awe worthy. It was haunting but also fulfilling. “
