NAVEED SADIQ

Naveed Sadiq was born in Hyderabad, Sindh Pakistan in 1982. He graduated with a distinction from the National College of Arts, Lahore, in Miniature Painting in 2006.
Sadiq has had four solo shows, “Sepia Voyage”, “Umeed-e-Bahar Rakh”, ‘Tamasha Merey Aagey’ at the Koel Art Gallery in Karachi Pakistan, 2010, 2012, and 2014 respectively, and “Perpetual Layers” at Sanat Gallery Karachi in August 2016.

He has exhibited in numerous group shows nationally and has participated and conducted various workshops. He has taught drawing and miniature painting at the Indus Valley School of Art and Architecture, Karachi 2009-2013 and currently he lives and works in Karachi.

Sadiq has completed his MA degree with Merit (Honours) in Jun 2017, from The Prince’s School of Traditional Arts in London. Sadiq is honored for his strong body of work; which offers a thought-provoking insight into the timeline and lineage of the miniature art practice and form. His thesis project is now part of the permanent collection at the Islamic Art Museum in Malaysia.
