‘Pursukoon Karachi’ was set up in August 2013 in response to the continuous conflict in the city, with a firm belief that art and culture are modes of uplifting society from the mire of despair, while addressing the issues of conflict. ‘Pursukoon Karachi’ stands by the credo that creativity and aesthetics can generate awareness and achieve social goals.
‘Pursukoon Karachi’ organized a unique Art Event, the exclusive ‘Silent Auction’ – ‘AAGHAZ –E- SAFAR’ on May 22, 23 & 24, 2015 at Frere Hall, Karachi.
120 artists from Karachi contributed original artworks for the auction, to raise funds to continue the renovation of the magnificent colonial building at Cantonment Railway Station, a heritage site. The exhibition being held in a public space was visited by a number of people from all walks of life including collectors and buyers of art.
